Dear Friend, Do you know somebody with whom you can put your trust? Despite what’s going around you, your family, and your personal life can you trust that somebody with all your heart? Would that somebody help you in times of need?
When we realize no one can help in times of need, we look up and ask God for help. When we exhaust all possibilities, we go to God and plead with him. But do we know the God whom we look up to? Have we spent time with him in the past? Do we know who he is and what he expects from us? The reason for disappointment with God is that we don’t know Him enough. We reach out to him in times of need to get an answer. We ask or demand things in a hurry from God. We might have made the wrong choices and decisions in life. But we blame it on God for everything. somehow God became a reason for our failures, our sickness, our addictions, and everything that goes wrong in our lives.
You might know the mobile number of the richest person in your country. He might be rich enough to give you what you need in your times of need. He can get a job for you, give you money, and can make you happy. But can you call him just because you have his phone number and ask for his help? Unless he knows you, he might not even pick up the call. Even if he picks up your call, he might not be willing to help you. But God is not the same as the rich people of this earth. God wants to help you. But many times we are not helping ourselves.
How to Know Him?
If we need to get answers from God, we need to know Him. With all the humbleness I would say, our God is neither an ATM nor a gambling machine, that operates on probabilities. When we go to God in prayer, we need to understand who we are dealing with and know who he is. How can we know God personally so we can go to him with all the rights and ask for help in times of need?
1. Reconcile with Him
To enter the presence of God, who created heaven and earth, we need to keep our hearts clean. God is a holy God. He always looks at our hearts. We might be the most smartly dressed people and may have a beautiful-looking personality. God looks at your heart. It does not matter if you are white, brown, or black. It does not matter if you have money or not. God looks at the quality of your heart. Have you done anything to hurt others? You might have done it secretly nobody might know it. But God knows your heart and the deepest secrets. Your talents and skills do not impress him. He looks for a clean heart.
No one is holy, and no one is a saint. All men fail in their actions and thoughts. We all need forgiveness before we enter the presence of God. He will forgive everyone who asks for forgiveness. Men look at our outward appearance, but God looks at our hearts.
2. Spend Time with Him:
You might go to God to ask a question, for help, for healing, or anything else. But develop a habit of going to God just to know him. Spend time with God to understand who he is. The president of your country may not have time to spend with you. But God who rules the heaven and the earth has all the time to talk to you as long as you have time. Like a young man who wants to know about the girl he wants to marry, it’s important to get to know God. He wants to reveal himself and tell you everything about himself.
As you spend more time with God, your life will slowly tune to what He likes you to do. You will start making the right choices and decisions in life. He will warn you about the things that are coming your way to prepare you. All of us go through difficulties. All of us at some point in life go through stress, depression, and anxiety. But God gives us peace amid our difficulties.
3. Trust Him
This is the toughest part. After we reconcile and start spending time with him, we must trust him in all the decisions of our lives. It could be a decision to select a life partner, a matter of business, the right job, an important choice to be made in the family, or anything else. Place it before God and get help from him to make the right choice. The choice made based on God’s guidance will give you peace and be a great blessing for you and your family. As you reconcile with God every day, spend time with him, and start trusting him with all your heart, your life will take a new shape. The Bible says If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
Dear Friend, Now you know the one on whom you can put your trust. You can trust Jesus In high times and low times when you have money and you don’t, when you have the strength and when you don’t? When you are young and when you become old? Put your trust in God with all your heart. Spend your time to know him more. The time you spend with him is the time you invest in your blessing. You will never regret it. He will satisfy your soul and fill it with goodness.
The Bible Says, Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
