Dear Friend, what if a rich man gives an open invitation to all the hungry to come and eat at his table for free? What if a prisoner who is waiting for his capital punishment is set free just the day before his execution? What if a man who owes a large sum is forgiven by his lender?
The amount of joy in all the above scenarios can not be measured in any earthly form of scale.
Jesus offers an open invitation for rest to those who are tired and weary of life.
We receive emails from many who feel they have lost all hope. Many think their life are worthless.
Jesus, who is the Prince of Peace, wants to fill their lives with peace and rest. He carried all our burdens on the cross so that we would not have to carry them in our lives. He was pierced for our sins, and through His stripes, we are healed.
The invitation to receive glorious heavenly peace is open to everyone. Let’s go to His presence and pray to Him.
Dear Jesus, what a wonderful invitation you have given to us. We are not worthy of coming closer to you. You are a holy God. We are sinners. You are inviting us to your presence to receive peace and rest. You have carried our burdens of life so that we no longer have to take them. We thank and praise you for all that you have done. Our hearts are filled with thankfulness. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank you once again. We pray in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
