How can we lead a productive life?

4.7

We want to accomplish much during our day but end up doing little. We wonder why our lives are not productive. Social media, YouTube videos, and unnecessary shopping often steal our time. At the end of the day, we do not realize how much time we have lost. We struggle to understand why our lives are so unproductive.

But Jesus lived in this world for only thirty-three years and ministered for only three years. He established a strong heavenly kingdom on earth. Today, we will learn from Jesus Christ’s life how to live a productive and successful life.

Before we do that, we are going to pray for your needs. Many of you might be carrying urgent prayer needs. We can not read this message unless our hearts are at Peace. God answers prayers. You can read many testimonies of thanksgiving here. Jesus will do the same for you.

So, let’s pray for your needs before continuing this message.

Dear Jesus, we are praying along with our dear friend. We invite your presence in our midst today. You are our good shepherd. Come and touch those who are praying with us right now. You know their hearts and what they are going through. Please fill them with your heavenly Peace—the Peace that is beyond human understanding. Take away all the negative thoughts that are bothering them. You are our healer who can heal us emotionally, physically, financially, mentally, and spiritually. From your hand, the healing power flows. We seek you with eagerness and look forward to your healing. Forgive the past sins they have committed. Wash them with your precious blood. Jesus, Thanks so much for listening to our prayers. We believe you are going to answer them. We pray in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Jesus listened to the prayers. He will answer your prayers. Do not worry.

Jesus Planned His Life Perfectly:

Jesus never wore a watch and did not access clock towers, but He knew the time of his life. He knew exactly how much time He had to complete his mission on earth and when to do what.

At the beginning of his ministry, Jesus said to His mother, Mary, “Dear woman, that’s not our problem,” Jesus replied. “My time has not yet come.” – John 2:4 NLT.

At the end of His ministry, Jesus said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son so he can give glory back to you.” – John 17:1 NLT.

At the cross before just before his death, Jesus said, “It is finished!” – John 19:30 NLT.

Dear friend, we might know the hour and minute of the clock. We might know how to plan our work. But do we know how to plan our life? Jesus can help us plan our life. It does not matter what age you are and where you are right now. It does not matter how qualified or unqualified you are in life. Jesus can help plan your life. He helps you gloriously finish your life without any regrets and complete happiness. The next question is, do we know our mission so that we can complete it?

Jesus knew His mission:

Many waste our time because we lack a purpose and a mission. Jesus had a mission. He came to this world to fulfill it. It is the mission Jesus received from His heavenly father. He does not decide it.

He inherited his mission, which the prophet Isaiah foretold many hundreds of years ago. He came to fulfill this mission.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free,

and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come. – Luke 4:18,19 NLT

Jesus lived this life with a razor-sharp focus on His mission.

Are we aware of the God-given mission in our life? We are not talking about our goals of buying new homes and cars. We are talking about heavenly missions today. We ought to know what Heaven expects from us.

Do you want to know how you and I will be measured and what should be our goals? It’s all there in the Bible. You can read all about it in Matthew 25. The entire chapter is spoken by our Lord to teach us about how we should live our lives.

Jesus teaches us how we should be watchful and ready to face Him so that we do not lose our heavenly calling. You can read in detail here => Are you ready?

He explains to us how we should use our talents and gifts for the glory of God. You can read about it here => The Lost Talents

Finally, Jesus speaks about how we will be judged. At the end of our journey, we all face this reality when we stand before the judgment throne. God will not judge us based on our skills, bank balance, position, or power. Our hearts search for all these, but we are deceiving ourselves.

Jesus explains that we will be judged by what we do for others, not by what we have or who we are. Our mission on this earth is to serve and not be served.

He said, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” – Mark 10:45 NLT.

We are the children of God. He expects us to serve others and help others.

Make Your Life Productive:

All organizations want to do things faster—faster than their competition. To improve speed and agility, they focus on productivity, automation, and waste. Earth measures its everything in terms of revenue and profit.

Heaven has different kinds of measurements. Jesus said, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” – Mark 8:36 KJV.

Heaven considers the human soul more precious than the entire wealth of this world. Look around you and notice the people of different colors and races. They all carry wonderful souls. That soul is more precious than the entire world. Jesus cares for their souls, and hence, He died for them on the cross.

Praying for the souls around you can make your life productive and Heaven richer. The Bible says, “Let heaven fill your thoughts; don’t spend your time worrying about things down here.” – Colossians 3:2 NLT.

Are you ready to allow Jesus to plan your life today? He is the source of life, and he wants to give you an abundant life. He can teach you about life and how to live it. Look at God and tell him, “Lord, teach me how to live my life.” Jesus will give you a new purpose and mission. Your life will be productive, and you can lead a fully satisfied life with Christ.

Shall we pray to Jesus and ask Him to lead our lives? Please ask Jesus to give you a new purpose and direction in life.

Dear Jesus, I want to live a life with purpose. You have taught me clearly through the Bible how to lead a purposeful life with a clear focus on Heaven. Please help me to set my eyes on Heaven. I want to fulfill the purpose for which you have created me. Please hold my hands and lead me. Please give me a new life and new direction. Help me to lead a productive life for you. Please take away all the barriers in my life that hinder me from leading a productive life. Jesus, I believe in you. I put all my trust in you in the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Dear Friend, Thanks so much for joining us today. Jesus wants to guide you. He wants to lead you.
