The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. – The Bible.
Recently, I read in the newspaper about a young student who harmed herself when she realized her dreams would not turn to reality. She did not even wait for the exam results to come out to confirm her score. She made the choice as soon as she finished her exams. It moved my heart when I read the article. Dear reader, are you one of those who carry a broken heart because of the past failure. Please do not worry. God can change your life. Wherever you are right now, God can lift you up. You are not a failure.
As you go through the below content, we pray that the Holy God will speak to you tenderly. May God touch every broken heart and comfort it. May Jesus reveal the grand plans he has for every reader. May He heal every disappointed mind and take away the hurt and the pain. We would like to pray with you in a few minutes. Jesus is going to comfort your heart.
Your Life is Precious
Jesus said, “What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?”
Dear friend, What is Jesus trying to say in the above statement? It means your soul, or in other words, you are more precious to God than the whole earth. We may have failed an exam. Our business might have failed. Our career growth might have stalled or our relationship might have been broken. We might think our whole life is a failure. Many feel they are useless because of the failures they have gone through. It can’t be true because God does not create any useless people. As soon as He created the human, God blessed them. All His creations were made perfect and blemish-less, which includes every reader of this message.
You are His masterpiece. You are the precious child of God. Jesus is your heavenly father. Our failures do not change the father-child relationship. No one is worthless. Not even one is useless. We are more precious to God than the entire worth of this world.
Our failure is an event, not a lifetime status
My dear reader, you would know who invented the light. It was Thomas Edison. He failed a thousand times before he came up with the invention of the light bulb. He once said, “I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps.” You might have also known about the great President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. He climbed the ladder after many failures in his career. The greatest men in this world are not those who had many successes. But those who have gone through many events of failures.
Our failure will not remain as our life status. It will be a momentary event soon erased as we move on in life. Our failures will pass away, disappear, and dissolve as time passes away. Do not worry about what others think about you. The same people who look down on you will soon praise you. Your situation will change. The God who created you will never let you down. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He will lift you.
You will soar like an eagle:
I have gone through disappointments in life. My dream was to get into a premier engineering institute. My score was close but not sufficient. I fell short by one point. I pondered over it many times in the past. Even thought about the questions I had marked wrongly during qualifying exams. But right now, after twenty-four years, I would say I have no regrets for missing out on my dream. Things have changed. I am at peace with what I have. We do not have to keep pondering over our current failures. Our perspective will change as time passes by. God has his ways of leading our life. God’s plans are much better than ours.
Jesus knew how to lead me over the past years. He took hold of my life whenever I allowed him to lead me. The God who knows our future is a guide, mentor, counselor, and comforter. Independent of your current situation and failures, offer your life to God. Allow Him to lead you. He knows your deepest talents and gifts. Allow your creator to mold your life. The Bible says, “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
God’s plans are always better than our plans. Jesus will teach us the right choices to make. He will fill us with the wisdom to make the right decision. You will soon soar like an eagle. You will reach great heights.
Define the Definition of success
While we run and chase the trophies and success in the world, we need to keep our eyes on what is genuine success. Can achieving all our dreams will give us the true meaning of this life? Can earning more money give us satisfaction? Will receiving multiple promotions give us peace and joy? Well, we can achieve all the above and still feel a void in our hearts.
Jesus gave a glimpse of how our human life would be measured in heaven. He narrated a parable in which, He simply classified everyone into two groups. Jesus looked at one set of people and said, “Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.” It surprised the people who heard this. They asked Jesus, when did you come to us? When did we give you food in our lives? We never met you when we lived our life on earth. Jesus replied to them, “I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!“
Friend, what is Jesus trying to tell here? Our life’s success is defined by how many lives we have touched and helped during our journey on earth. Our success is not defined by what we earn and what we achieve. One day, we would have to leave all the trophies, medals, money, and properties on earth and leave the world empty-handed. Our God will be waiting for us. He will only judge us based on how many people’s lives we have comforted and helped. If we end up spending all our lives on our agenda, aspirations, and goals, we will miss out on God’s definition of success.
Let’s define the definition of our success clearly. Then the definition of our failure will be clear to us automatically.
Let’s pray to Jesus. He can help us to give us the strength to handle our failures.
Please place your hand on your heart and say the following prayer in your own words. Ask Jesus to come into your life. He will raise you.
Dear Jesus, I thank you so much for teaching me how to handle my failures. Continue to speak to my heart. Please take away all my hurt and pain. I understand you have a great plan for me. Please comfort my heart. Heal me. Take away the pain in my life. Wipe away my tears.
Jesus, I want to follow you all through my life. People might call me a failure. But I know you are my heavenly father. You know how to shape my life. I put my trust in you. Jesus, please forgive me, if I have made any mistakes in the past. Wash me with the precious blood you have shed for me on the cross. Please hold my hands and lead me. I put all my trust in you. I believe in you. In Jesus’s mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Dear friend, Jesus heard your prayers. He cares for your future. Commit your life to Him and follow Him with all your heart. Your life will change. Believe Him.
Jesus wants to make you His own child. Ask for forgiveness for your past life. Jesus will forgive you. He will renew your life and lead you like a father leads His own child. Please humble you heart and pray to Jesus. If you want to know how you can become a child of Jesus, you can read here =>
