God Wants to Bless You with Wisdom

4.5

For wisdom is more profitable than silver, and her wages are better than gold. Wisdom is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. (NLT) - King Solomon

Dear friend, The first six months of 2020 have rolled away so quickly. This year had been a great struggle for many across the world. We do not know what will be the consequence of the current pandemic. But God is in control. As we look forward to the next six months what do we need most? I believe it is not money and position but wisdom to handle what is yet to come.

Why We need Wisdom?

How good our life will be if we know how to use the right words at the right time? Wrong and hurtful words break the relationship and leave a deep hurt in our hearts. How much better it will be, if only we have the experience to judge the tough situation correctly? How beautiful our life will be if we can make the right decisions and choices at the right time in our life? We can avoid so much pain and hurt.

From a young age, we are taught to learn and gain knowledge. Many of us have many advanced degrees and education and we are rightly proud of it. But our knowledge of knowing Physics, Maths, and many other subjects offer little help in our day to day life situations. What we greatly lack as we grew up is wisdom.

How do we gain Wisdom?

The Bible says fear of God is the beginning of Wisdom. If we want to start gaining wisdom, we ought to start fearing God. I was going through the farewell speeches of the greatest men in the Bible such as Samuel, Moses, and Solomon. All of them closed their speech with the phrase "Fear God".

How do we fear God? We need to acknowledge there is a God and allow Him to rule all parts of our life as king. Is it so difficult to do? The source of wisdom flows from God, who knows the past, present, and future. Jesus said I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave. We will be able to make the right choices in our lives and will not regret in our life for the choices we made if we allow the God who holds the ends of our life to control our decisions.

How does Wisdom help in our life?
Dear friend, Moses prayed to God to teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom. We have a very short time in this world. The time passes by so soon and the days in our life are numbered. We need wisdom from God to teach us how to live our lives wisely.

Wisdom gives us good judgment in all situations. We make many decisions in a day. The choice of words we use in the office, at home with our wife and kids make a tremendous impact in our relationship within and outside our family. We need judgment to choose the right words. When you gain wisdom, you will have the right words to speak to your friends who are sick and to those who need your comforting words.

Good judgment is a critical skill if you are running your own business. Good judgment will help you to make the right decision on where to invest, at what time, and how much to invest. God can help you if you fear Him and wait for his guidance. This will avoid unnecessary debt and heartache.

Dear friend, do you want to learn more about wisdom? I would highly recommend you to read Proverbs and Ecclesiastes in the Bible. Both the books are written by King Solomon, the wisest man ever lived on the planet earth.

Are you longing for wisdom in your life? Every one of us needs wisdom. Jesus wants to bless you with wisdom today. The Bible says, If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. Jesus wants to fill you with wisdom. Shall we ask God for Wisdom?

Dear Jesus, I come to you for wisdom. Please fill me with your heavenly wisdom. You are the source of wisdom. Teach me to fear you and follow you in all my ways. Help me to speak the right words. Teach me to make the right decisions in my life. Help me to understand how short my life is. Let me fear you and wait for you before making any critical decisions in my life. Fill my life with your heavenly wisdom. Let me trust you and follow you all my days. In Jesus's name, I pray. Amen.
