When was the last time God spoke to you?

Many years ago there was a king called Saul. He was fighting against the Philistines for many years in his life. At one point in time, the Philistines mustered a large army and came against Saul and his army. When Saul saw the size of the Philistine army he realized his army was outnumbered. He needed desperate help. He needed God’s supernatural power to overcome his enemy. Saul enquired God about what He should do. But God did not reply to Saul.

If we go back in time and look at the life of Saul in the Bible, God stopped speaking to Saul many years ago. The relationship between Saul and God was broken a long time back. Saul made mistakes against God through his disobedience, vengeance, and jealousy. There was no mention of his reconciliation with God after committing the mistakes. But Saul never felt the need to renew the communication with God till his desperate moment arrived in the war against Philistines.

Jesus Needs to speak to us every day

Many times in our life during desperate situations we seek God for an answer. We pray diligently to God to show us the right direction in life. Many ask this question and wrote to us in the past, “Why God is not answering the prayers?”

Somehow in today’s context, we think Jesus speaks to only prophets, spiritually mature personalities, and people who are involved in the service of God. May God bless these people. May God continue to speak to them about the future of this world and reveal his secrets.

But Jesus needs to speak to us too. He needs to talk to us every day about whether we are doing the right things in life. He needs to warn us when we make wrong choices in life. Our hearts should be convicted when we stop loving Him in our daily life. We need to feel the Comfort of Jesus within us and His counseling when we are in pain. If He is not speaking to us then it means our relationship is broken with God and it needs to be rectified immediately.

Most of us never feel the urgency to reconcile with God till we meet our critical and desperate moments in life. Then we start asking, why God is not answering the prayer. Jesus said, “My sheep listen to my voice“. If we are not listening to the voice of Jesus today then we are somehow got lost and moved away from His presence.

Spiritual Emergency

When a person is in a medical emergency we urgently call the Ambulance and rush him or her to the emergency room. But the same urgency is not shown when the communication is broken with God. Lack of communication with God is a spiritual emergency. The person needs to rush back to God’s emergency room and immediately reconcile with Jesus.

Jesus said, “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem,… How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me.” God’s call for reconciliation is open today for everyone who is reading this message. He wants to gather us under his wings. He is longing to speak to us. His arms are wide open. He is ready to forgive our past and speak to us. Are we ready to run towards Him?

Let’s call out to Jesus right now. He wants to talk to us. Please place your hand on your heart and call out the name of Jesus. He will answer your prayers.

Dear Jesus, I come to you with a humble heart. I want to listen to your voice every day. Please speak to me. Forgive all the mistakes that stop my prayers from reaching your presence. Wash me with your precious blood. Convict my heart and show me the mistakes I have done in the past. Please forgive all my past mistakes. Wash me with your precious blood. I want to be your child. Jesus, I prefer to stay under your presence and listen to your voice rather than chasing the glory of this world. You alone can lead me through the perils of this life. You alone can give me the wisdom to face my future.

Jesus, please speak to me. Continue to guide. Comfort me and counsel me all through my life. Give me a heart that always seeks and searches for you. Be my God and my savior. In Jesus’s precious name, I pray. Amen.

Dear friend, Jesus listened to your prayer. He will answer you. We are praying along with everyone who is visiting this website. May Jesus bless you and make you a blessing for many.

If you have confessed your past and repented from it then Jesus has already forgiven your past. The Bible says, “if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” Jesus is faithful to forgive all our past. Do not worry. He will hold your hands and lead you. Seek Him every day and Hold on to His hands.
