There are times in our life we stumble. We stumble due to our sins. Our job may fail us. Our business may not yield profit. Our prayers might go unheard. Fear and anxieties about the future may cause worries in our life. But Jesus will hold our life steady. He will not allow us to fall. He will not allow us in the past despair. He will renew and strengthen our life. Though you may stumble, you will not fall. You might ask the question, will Jesus lift me also? I am about to fall and I am stumbling in life. Will Jesus help me? Yes, Jesus will surely help you.
The Bible says, "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and He delights in his way.
Though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand."
Though you may Stumble, You will not fall:
You can read many testimonies here from people who have gone through various difficulties and stumbled in their life. They believed in the name of Jesus and reconciled with Him. Jesus answered their prayers and lifted them up. They did not fall though they stumbled. Out of thankful hearts, they have written to us about the great things God has done for them.
There is also another set of people who have tasted the great miracles of God. But they could not hold on to God and lost the blessing they have gained. They lost their testimonies after earning them.
The Bible says, "If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent." If you have not taken refuge under the wings of God, please do it today. If you have already taken refuge under his wings, please hold on to Him. He will guard your life.
Why do we fall?
Jesus can prevent us from falling only when we walk closer to Him. We can walk upright and hold on to our testimonies till the time we are closer to Him. If we leave Jesus and chose to go far away from His presence, then He may not be able to help us. We may stumble and fall. There won't be anyone to hold us from falling. We may hurt our life. Jesus can still help us get up from the fall and make us walk again.
Dear friend, are you stumbling in your life? Are you thinking you are about to fall? Do you think there is no one to help? Please invite Jesus into your life. Please grow closer to Him. Make Jesus your best friend today. Let nothing separate you and Jesus. Always delight in His presence. You will never regret the choice of getting closer to Jesus. He will give you the power to walk upright. The Bible says, "For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous." Yes, the Lord himself will watch over your ways.
How we can avoid the fall?
Our connection with God slowly erodes when we stop spending time with him. The conviction about sin deteriorates when our relationship with Jesus stalls. This is a ripe moment for us to stumble and fall. Please always reconcile with Jesus and ensure nothing is separating you from God. The Bible says, "Your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear."
There is no sin that is so dark that Jesus can not forgive. He died for all our past mistakes. The Bible says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." Jesus is always faithful to forgive all our past. Please do not hesitate to go to Him. Receive the forgiveness of Jesus by faith.
Ask Jesus before making any major decisions. It is better to put trust in Jesus than trust another man. The Bible says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." He alone is worthy to be trusted.
Though you fall, Jesus will lift you:
Some of you may say you have already fallen. I have gone through disparate moments in life. I understand how it feels when there is no hope in sight. But God can open doors for you. The Bible says, "Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God." "The young lions lack and suffer hunger, but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing."
God listened to the cries of the Israelites and released them from slavery for the first time. He did great miraculous signs and brought them out of slavery. The Bible says, "The LORD said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering." God was very concerned about their hardship. He is concerned about our hardship too. He wants to release us from the slavery of sin and its consequences.
But the same people sinned and they became slaves again in Babylon for the second time. God did not perform any miracles to bring them out. God waited for his people to come back to Him. He said, "The ox knows its master, the donkey its owner’s manger, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand." "My people are fools; they do not know me. They are senseless children; they have no understanding. They are skilled in doing evil; they know not how to do good" God wanted the nation of Israel to search for Him and seek Him.
The same God wants us to seek and search for Him. He wants us to come back to Him. He is waiting for us today. Are you in a fallen state? Jesus cares for you. He wants to release you.
Let's go to the presence of Jesus and pray to Him. Please place your hand on your heart and call upon the name of Jesus. Pray the below prayer in your own words from the bottom of your heart.
Dear Jesus, I come to you with a humble heart. Thank you for being with me thus far. You are my strength and you were holding my hands through the ups and downs of my life. Whenever my feet were stumbling you lifted me up. I put all my trust in you. Please hold me and lead me. I believe in you. Though I stumble, I will never fall down. Your grace and mercies were my guardrails. Please forgive all my past mistakes. Reveal to me all the ignorant sins in my life. Strengthen me spiritually, physically and emotionally. Be my God and lead me. I pray in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
Dear friend, thanks so much for being with us today. Jesus loves you. He cares for you. He will surely lead you and bless your life. He will never allow you to fall as long as you hold on to Him. May Jesus bless you and make you a blessing for many. Keep in touch.
