Will Jesus forgive my past sexual immorality?

4.5

Dear friend, are you searching for answers to whether your past mistakes will be forgiven? Are you feeling guilty about what you did in the past? Jesus wants to speak to you personally. He wants to help you unload all the burdens of your heart.

How did Jesus deal with Fornication?

Once, Jesus met a woman from Samaria. She had already gone through five failed marriages and was living with someone outside the marriage. Jesus was already tired after the long journey. He was thirsty and hungry. Despite it, He decided to take time to speak to this one woman whose life is so complicated with many men. She was indeed living life under fornication with another man who was not her husband. Jesus did not look at her past mistakes. He was not interested in her current mistakes either. But was looking through her heart at the precious soul she carried. He spoke to her about the life-giving water He can offer, which can put an end to the search for all the fulfillment she was searching for in her life.

Dear friend, is your life tangled in sexual immorality? Are you searching for freedom from all your past? Jesus wants to free you today. He wants to break all the chains that bind your life and forgive your past. Would you be willing to come to the presence of Jesus and want to receive this new freedom? It is free. You can receive it right where you are.

Jesus wants to offer the same life-giving water to your life. It does not matter what you have done in your past, Jesus wants to forgive it all today. Are you ready to receive it? He is waiting for you.

How did Jesus deal with Adultery?

There was this lady who was red-handed in adultery. She was brought before Jesus. According to the local custom, the crowd was ready to stone her to death. She was pleading for her life. The crowd wanted Jesus’s opinion. Hence they dragged her before Jesus. Everyone wanted to know what Jesus would say. While others were quick to judge her, Jesus was in no hurry. The crowd grew tired of repeatedly asking for His opinion. Jesus said, “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” There was none who threw the stone except Jesus. He was sinless. He looked at the women and said “Go and sin no more“.

Possibly this is the answer to your question. Jesus who said those words two thousand years back is still alive. He has not changed. He might give the same verdict for you even today. Go and sin no more.

What about your future?

Jesus wants to forgive your past today. But what about your future? Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin“. Human slavery was abolished a long time ago. But we could still end up as slaves to sin. Sexual immorality can make even a mighty man a powerless toy. Even a great warrior like David fell to the sin of adultery. Powerful Samson fornicated with Delilah and revealed all the secrets of his power for the sake of simple pleasure.

If you continue to commit sexual sins, it will cause terrible consequences for your family. It will be a bitter pill for everyone who is closer to you. Please make a purposeful choice to come out of it today.

Dear friend, it does not matter whether you are a dear sister or a brother. Sexual sins can attack anyone who doesn’t flee from it. There were great men of God who could not resist it. They could not fight it. The Bible says, “Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.” Jesus will give you the power to flee. He will empower you with spiritual strength to come out of it.

Let’s go to the Lord in prayer. He wants to forgive you and give you a new life. Please place your hand on your heart and call upon the name of Jesus. Pray the below prayer along with us from the bottom of your heart. Tell Jesus from the bottom of your heart that you don’t want to commit the same mistakes again. Ask Him to give you the strength to flee from all your past. He is your heavenly father. He wants to answer the prayers. Let’s pray.

Dear Jesus, I (insert your name here) come to you with a humble heart. Please help me. You know all about my past. Please come into my life. Forgive my past mistakes. Wash me with your precious blood. I have defiled my body you have given to me. I have sinned terribly. Please help me. Wash me with once again. I do not want to do it. I want to become a new man. Please help me. Give me the spiritual strength to flee from sexual sins. You are my hope. You are my God. You alone can help me. You alone can answer my prayers. Please hold my hands and lead me. Cover me with your mighty wings. Give me a new heart. A heart that loves you and follows you throughout my life. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
