Why I am feeling Sad? How to come out of sadness?

Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad?

I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God! – Psalm 42:5 NLT

Dear friend, Are you feeling sad and searching for a way to get out of it? Wherever you are today, you are not alone. God knows your heart and is with you now.

God knows what you have gone through in the past. He understands the sadness and hurt you have experienced. Jesus wants to help you overcome the sadness. Do not worry. What is impossible for us is possible for God.

We are going to pray along with you in a few minutes. Jesus helped many to come out of their difficult situation. You can read the testimonies here to know how He could change their life. He wants to do the same in your life too.

How did I go through Sadness in my life?

The disappointments lead to sadness of heart. Today’s generation sets high standards for themselves.

Failure to achieve, friction in relationships, loss of job, health issues, and various other reasons could lead to sadness.

I went through sadness in my life after waiting for eight years when I was rejected in a promotion interview. I wanted that promotion dearly. Everyone I worked with got promoted except me. Incidentally, the day before, I was told that I was not considered for promotion; I was writing a message on how to handle failure.

I had to read the same message I had written the previous day after I had communicated. I thought that was the end of the road for me. I was asked to take actions that were impossible to complete. Come what may, I committed to holding on to Jesus.

But God had other plans.

After one year, the people who rejected me helped me get promoted. God does everything in His time. He knows what is good for us.

Dear friend, Jesus can do the same for you. He can help you overcome the sadness in your life, too. Do not worry.

You may stumble in your life because of life’s challenges. But God will never allow you to fall. He will hold you in His arms and lead you. To know more, you can read here => Though you may stumble, you will not fall

Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life. Psalm 23:6 NIV. Please hold on to His promise in your life.

Pour out your heart:

You may not have anyone to share your past with. It may be confidential, and you do not want to discuss it with others. But we want to assure you that you can pour your heart out in the presence of Jesus right now. You do not have to travel anywhere, and you do not have to pay anything. You can speak to Him from where you are and tell him what you have in your heart.

The Bible says, “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” – Isaiah 9:6 NLT.

He is the best counselor you can find in the town.

If you want to know how to pour out your heart in His presence, you can do it here => Is there a place where I can pour out my heart?

How to Navigate through Sadness?

Dear friend, if you are experiencing Sadness, you need all the support and help you can get. You might say others do not understand what you are going through, but the God who created you understands your heart.

Please invite Him into your heart today. He is your heavenly father. If you have disobeyed and gone far away from the Lord, please reconcile with Him today. He wants to help you. The Bible says, “if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” – 1 John 1:9 NLT.

Invite Jesus into your life. Ask Him to lead you during your difficult situation.

Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28 NLT. He is waiting to take away all the burdens of your life.

He carried all your burdens on the cross. You Don’t have to carry the burdens of life; Jesus already carried all of them on the cross.

Jesus can change your Sadness into dancing.

Jesus said, “I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!” – John 15:9-11 NLT

There is great joy in remaining in Jesus’s love. Happiness is caused by the happenings around us, but joy is caused by Jesus. Joy comes when we obey Him gladly out of love for Him.

When we remain in Him, we remain in His love. The happenings around us do not move our hearts. They are always filled with joy because we know our lives are safe in the hands of our heavenly father, who loves us deeply.

David wrote, “You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy,” – Psalm 30:11 NLT. David went through difficult times in life. Saul was chasing him to kill for a almost a decade. He patiently obeyed God and waited for God’s time. God did wipe away all his sorrow.

Dear friend, Jesus wants to remove all your sadness and fill your heart with joy and peace. Shall we go to His presence and pray to Him? He wants to answer your prayers.

Let’s pray.

Dear Jesus, we are praying for your dear brother or sister who is going through sadness. You love them so much. They heard your word today. Please speak to them. Help them come out of the sadness. You are the God who can turn their mourning into dancing. You alone can fill their hearts with joy and peace.

Please forgive all their past mistakes and wash away their sins with your precious blood. Jesus, we believe in you. You are going to answer this prayer. We pray in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Dear Friend, Jesus loves you, cares for you dearly, and will surely take away all your sadness. May Jesus bless you and make you a blessing for many. Keep in touch.
