We lead a busy life. There is so much entertainment to keep us busy. We hardly find time to spend time alone with God. We complain there is no time and life is always busy. We go to God when we need Him dearly. We blame and get frustrated with God when we do not get a response exactly matching our expectations.
God knew how important we were. That’s why He sent His only son Jesus Christ to die on the cross so that we can be redeemed from our past mistakes. He sacrificed His loving son for the love of all of us. The loving God wants to speak to us. He wants to reveal His beautiful purpose and plan in our life. Do we have time to spend with Him?
God is a Real Person
God is a real person with a personality. He created Adam and Eve and placed them in the Garden of Eden. He spoke to them every day. Bible says, In the evening time God came searching for Adam and Eve. God wanted to know how they were doing. How was their day? Were they comfortable and peaceful in the Garden of Eden? God cared, loved, protected, and wanted to have a relationship with Adam and Eve. He still loves, still cares for you, me, all of us, and wants to talk to us every day and all the time. He wants to spend time with you. Are you ready?
Why Do We Need to spend time with God?
God says in the Bible, For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”. How wonderful our life would be if we derive our plans from God’s plans? He can teach us what to do when to do and how to do it. A timeless God foreknows the actions and reactions of our choices. He knows the past, present, and future of our lives just because he is God beyond time. How good our life can be if only we make all our decisions after consulting with God? When we get to know God we will learn to fear God like a child fears his father. When we do that the Bible says Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. By fearing God we will understand what is right and we will choose the wise way to go in life.
Dear Friend, Independent of your profession, position, and busy schedule in life learn to spend time with God every day. He will teach you and guide you. Your life will be fenced and protected by His grace.
How can we spend time alone with God?
Dear friend, if you have reconciled with Jesus by asking forgiveness for your past, please do it. Invite Jesus into your heart and ask Him to forgive your past mistakes. If you want to know more about reconciling with Jesus, you can read here
All you need is a small belief to start spending time with Jesus. You will start tasting God’s goodness when your prayers get answered. God’s Goodness will lead to more belief and more love for Him. As your love for God grows, you will consider your entertainment as trash. Your heart will search for a relationship with God. Everything else will take a lesser priority in life. The things you love and desire all your life will not attract you anymore because your heart is now only attracted by the love of God. You will focus more time on reading His word in the Bible than anything else. Spending time with God will come easily as your love for Jesus grows as the days go by. Jesus said If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. Following the commandments of Jesus is only possible if we love Him.

Dear Jesus, I want to speak to you and spend time with you. Thank you for dying on the cross for my mistakes. Please forgive my past and make me your child. I want to seek your face every morning. I long to talk to you and want to tell you how much I love you. I want to know your plans and decisions in my life. Please talk to me. Hold my hands and lead me all my life. Please fill my heart with your heavenly peace. In Jesus’s mighty name, I pray, Amen.
