Because you have made the Lord, [who is] my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place. No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent. - The Bible (AMP)
Dear friend, Most of the world population is right now forced to stay inside their home due to the pandemic caused by COVID - 19. Are you one of those who are forced to be confined insider your home? Here are a few things we can do to keep our minds refreshed even while confined within our home.
Create a planner and stick to it:
We are in the new order. Some of us have a lot of time as the office is closed and kids are at home. Unless we effectively plan our time we might end up spending all day before television or browsing unhealthy content on the internet. To spend the time effectively, come up with the planner with the clear goals that you want to achieve during this time. Plan it for all seven days. There are very good planning tools that are available on the internet. Make sure you are making the best use of your time.
The biggest asset in our life is not money but time. We have lots of time since the malls and the entertainment centers are closed down. We can't meet our regular friends due to social distancing. Hence, if you are a student, please make sure you are researching the curriculum in advance by using this time to your best advantage. If you are working, check whether you can increase your knowledge in the area of your expertise by doing additional certifications. Sharpen your knowledge so that you are better prepared to face the upcoming economy.
When was your last time you woke up early in the morning and listened to birds chirping and saw the darkness transformed to brightness by the rising sun? Well, if you have not enjoyed it for a long time, today you sleep early and get up early in the morning. Stay still in the morning and listen to the beautiful things that are happening all around. Have you ever wondered how every day the sun comes out without any flaw? We need to remember the creator behind the morning. You will enjoy the beauty of the creation and start praising the creator. Ready to try getting up early tomorrow?
Friend, have you pushed any of your hobbies in the past since you did not have time to do. Here we are with plenty of time. As long as it is not an outdoor hobby pick it up and try to spend some time. It will refresh your mind.
Encourage Others:
During this time of difficulties, we must spend time to encourage others. Do you have a friend who is staying alone? Do you have aged parents who are living far away? Do you know anyone who has lost his job due to recession? Please call them and enquire about them. Encourage them as much as you can. Do not even show a bit of your concern or your load of worries. Listen to their story and how they are managing their life. Every word you speak adds drops of motivation and encouragement in their life.
We have emails, phones, social media and many other tools to connect with people amid social distancing. Every one of your words could add encouragement through this tool.
Many have lost their loved ones. Many are right now in the hospital. Let's show the care by calling them right now. Do you know anyone who is in trouble and in the midst of discouragement?
Grow Closer to God:
Friend, we have received an invitation from God many times to spend time with Him. Probably we were busy. Busy working, partying, watching, reading, and playing. God was the last priority in most parts of our life. This is our time to grow closer to Him. It's a wonderful opportunity to get to know Him.
Have you ever wondered what has in store for you? Ever searched why you are on this earth and what is your purpose in life? Well, here you got time to get closer to God and understand the purpose of your life from the original creator. You can get early in the morning and talk to Jesus for a few minutes. Tell Him what bothers you most in life and ask His guidance for the future. Jesus will teach you and show you the ways you should walk. Allocate time in your planner to read the Bible and get to know God's words.
Jesus is waiting to talk to you. Are you ready to talk to Him today?
Trust God More not Less :
These are difficult days. The oil prices are going down and there are not many good indicators from the economist. The industry output is at the bottom. But let's learn to trust God more than less. Lets put our trust in Jesus than putting our trust in the stock index. The Bible says, Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Let's learn to trust God and stay under the shelter of God's protection. He knows how to take us through a difficult time. He is the greatest counselor and comforter. God can teach the right decisions and choices we should make in our life so that our life will not falter.
Dear friend, the Bible says, Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come.
Are you ready to remember your creator? The air is much cleaner right now due to lockdown. The rivers all around the world became crystal clear due to reduced industrial waste. How about our hearts? God chose this time to purify and cleanse everything. How about our life? Is it still dirty? God wants to cleanse our hearts and make it pure these days. Are you able to listen to His call? His voice is calling you today. It's your chance to respond and follow your creator.
Is there any addiction or bondage that is holding you. It is your time to fast and pray. The spirit behind your bondage and depression will flee. The negative thoughts will go away. Do you believe God can heal you? He can. His power has not reduced. He can change your life today. Believe Him. Shall we pray?
Prayer
Dear God, Thank you for being with me right now. Help me to look beyond my situation. You are in control of everything that is happening around me. Let me be still in your presence and know that you are God. Let me humble my heart. Show me the things I should change. Teach me the wrong attitudes I should lose. Shape my life. Renew my soul. Correct the words I speak. Wash my eyes with your precious blood. Please forgive my past. Let me live my life following you. Help me to spend more time with you. Let me put my trust and faith in you. Jesus, let me live my life in a way I can make you happy. In Jesus's name, I pray. Amen
