What is Truth?

Dear friend, We will meditate on the question, what is Truth? How do we discern the absolute Truth? Finding Truth is essential because some believe they have no hope. Is that true? Others think nobody cares about them; they are alone, a failure, and hence worthless, and nobody can solve their problems.

Every year, more than 700,000 people believe they have no hope for their future and end their lives. Most of them are young people below the age of 29. Does life become hopeless so early? Is it a truth?

If someone believes it is true, we humbly ask them to read our testimonies. Jesus is alive. He gives hope and transforms people’s lives.

The Bible talks about a source of Truth and a liar. The source of truth came to give life and peace, while the source of lies continuously tried to deceive humanity and tell them they were hopeless, worthless, and failures. Do you want to believe the truth or the lies?

What is Truth?

Pontius Pilate asked Jesus, What is Truth?

What is truth?” retorted Pilate. With this he went out again to the Jews gathered there and said, “I find no basis for a charge against him. John 18:38 NIV

The Bible does not provide insight into Jesus’ answer to Pilate. Even today, young and old ask the same question Pilate asked two thousand years ago: What is Truth?

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” – John 14:6 NLT.

Who is the source of Truth?

Jesus is the source of Truth. The words “I tell you the truth” were documented seventy-two times in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John as said by Jesus.

I tell you the Truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible. – John 17:20 NLT.

I tell you the Truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. – John 18:3 NLT.

Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.” – John 3:3 NLT.

Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, Peter—this very night, before the rooster crows, you will deny three times that you even know me.” – Matthew 26:34 NLT.

“I tell you the Truth, anyone who believes has eternal life. – John 6:47 NLT.

Jesus replied, “I tell you the Truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin. – John 8:34 NLT.

I tell you the Truth, anyone who obeys my teaching will never die!” – John 8:51 NLT.

Jesus is the Truth. He spoke the Truth, and he showed us the Truth.

Spirit of Truth

When Jesus was about to depart from this world, He said, When the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all Truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. – John 16:13 NLT.

We receive our Truth from the Holy Spirit, the spirit of Truth. He will receive the Truth from Jesus and teach us everything.

The authors of the books of the Bible wrote it by the inspiration of the spirit.

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. – 2 Timothy 3:16 NLT.

What does the Truth teach us?

The Bible teaches us the Truth because the devil, who is a liar, spreads the opposite of Truth. The devil tells us our lives are hopeless and worthless. He tells us we are failures.

Let’s hear the Truth from the spirit of Truth and the source of Truth – Jesus Christ.

My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. – John 10:10 NLT.

Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. – John 6:35 NLT

Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart. – John 7:37,38 NLT

Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. – Matthew 11:28 NLT

Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared. – Matthew 8:3 NLT

A funeral procession was coming out as he approached the village gate. The young man who had died was a widow’s only son, and a large crowd from the village was with her. When the Lord saw her, his heart overflowed with compassion. “Don’t cry!” he said. Then he walked over to the coffin and touched it, and the bearers stopped. “Young man,” he said, “I tell you, get up.”  Then the dead boy sat up and began to talk! And Jesus gave him back to his mother. – Luke 7:12-15 NLT.

Jesus Christ’s words above are life-giving. They are filled with compassion and provide a source of hope. We can clearly distinguish between the words of a liar and the words of Truth.

Dear friend, Jesus Christ’s words are the source of Truth. He wants to give us hope and life. He wants to give hope to those who have lost hope, Peace to those who lack Peace, freedom from all obsessions, and healing from all physical, spiritual, and emotional sicknesses.

Our lives lose their purpose when we wander away from the source of Truth. Let’s come near the Truth and enjoy the Truth and life.

Jesus is the companion for those who are lonely and has purpose and meaning for those who have lost everything. The Bible says Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. – Hebrews 13:8

His words never change. He is not a man who changes His mind. He is with you right now. Are you ready to invite the source of Truth into your life right now?

Let’s pray to Jesus, who is the source of Truth.

Dear Jesus, Thank you for revealing that you are the source of Truth. Your words give hope. Often, I hear the liar’s words, making me feel worthless and hopeless. You are the God of hope. My heart gets discouraged. I feel like a failure.
