If you have tasted testimonies in your life through our ministry, we long to hear and praise the name of Jesus along with you. You can share your testimonies for the glory of God here. Jesus said, “If God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?“. – Luke 12:28 NLT.
Throughout the Bible, God makes a deliberate effort to communicate to us His profound love and care for us through His promises, miracles, parables, and teachings. However, our hearts fail to understand and put faith in God’s words.
Jesus frequently said, “Whoever has ears, let them hear.” In the New Testament, the statement. “Whoever has ears, let them hear” repeats fourteen times. Seven is a number for perfection in the Bible. But Jesus repeated twice the number of seven, that is, fourteen times the same words – “Whoever has ears, let them hear.“
Despite His comforting promises, there is an element of fear around the world. Fear and faith are inversely related to each other. When we have deep faith and trust in Jesus, fear can not come closer to us. When we are low in faith, fear can easily overcome our lives.
Faith grows when we grow closer to Jesus. Fear grows when we go far away from Him.
Faith can move mountains, but fear gives the illusion that the mountain will fall on you.
Dear Friend, are you experiencing fear due to your situation? Jesus wants to take away your fear and build you with faith.
We will examine the factors that evoke fear and explore strategies for overcoming them. Fear leads to emotional toil and leads to sickness, such as depression and anxiety.
Hence, it is important that we identify the fear in our lives and pluck it out early.
Fear of Sin:
The first man and woman who experienced fear were Adam and Eve. The word fear was coined when they sinned; they hid themselves from God.
The Bible says, He (Adam) replied, ‘I heard you (God) walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked.” – Genesis 3:10 NLT.
Sin has the ability to make us slaves to it. Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin.” – John 8:34 NLT. When we sin, we move away from the presence of Jesus, and naturally, the faith goes away, and the fear comes into our hearts.
As soon as Adam and Eve disobeyed, fear gripped their hearts. The only way we can overcome the fear that resulted from sin is by reconciling with Jesus once more and asking for forgiveness. There is no shortcut to overcoming fear.
Fear about the future:
Fear about the future comes from satan. He is a deceiver and a liar. The Bible describes him as the Father of all lies. He plants doubts in our minds. He continuously seeds our minds with insecurity about our jobs, education, health, and our children.
When we become children of God, our future is sealed. The Bible says, No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him. – 1 Corinthians 2:9 NLT.
Jesus has a great promise for us about heaven. He said:
There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. – John 14:2,3 NLT
Jesus is the best interior designer in the universe. The house built and designed by Jesus will be the most beautiful of all we have seen with our eyes.
However, our eyes have seen only the flashy and perishable things the world can offer. Our impression of glorious things is limited. We hardly have enough time to digest the promise the faithful God has given to us. Satan used our ignorance to deceive us by setting a trap of fear about the things we see.
The Bible instructs us to set our minds on heaven.
Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. – Colossians 3:2 NLT.
Our eyes need to turn away from social media and see the glorious things that God has in store for us. The fear about our future will flee once we set our minds on heaven and its glory.
Fear of death:
The devil uses death as a trap to create fear on so many. For those who belong to Christ, there is no death. Jesus promised eternal life to everyone who believe in Him.
Jesus said, For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. – John 3:16 NLT.
For those who belong to Christ, the earthly death is a comma, not a full stop. Life continues in heaven into eternity. Our souls continue to live forever in the glorious heaven.
The Bible says, O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. – 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 NLT
Death has lost its power because of Jesus. The devil can no longer make us fear death because there is no death for those who are in Christ.
