The Great Promise

Dear Friends,

Men make promises to break it. God makes promises to keep it. The greatest of all the promise in the world is the promise given to man by God.

There were several people in the world who made an attempt to live an immortal life. When they achieved everything in life they chased immortality with hunger and wanted to hold it with both hands. These were not ordinary men. They were powerful kings who lived and shaped the history of the world. The great pyramids were built by spending a fortune and shedding the sweat of slaves to achieve immortality.

When a man gets everything in life he likes to hold on to his "things" forever. The hunger for immortality remains within the heart of every man. Our soul is destined to live forever. Death is an anomaly for a human soul. God created man to live forever. He wanted to have a fellowship with men forever. Hence, God gave the greatest promise to his most loving child that is you and me.

" For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Yes, he loved us so much and hence he gave the greatest promise which involves a greatest gift. The greatest gift in the great promise is immortality or eternal life for everyone. It's not for the rich and not for the poor, but for everyone who believes. The promise is for the king and the slave, able and differently abled, healthy and the weak, bold and the meek, for you and for me.

Like all the other precious things in life given by God, Eternal life is also free. The greatest promise and the associated eternal life is completely free. There is only one precondition to this great gift i.e. to believe him. Believe Who? Believe God's son, Jesus Christ. He gave his life on the cross and shed his blood so that we can overcome death and live forever. He traded his life for ours.

Friends, Let us do a small prayer:

" Dear Lord heavenly father, Thank you for the greatest promise you have given to me. Lord forgive my sins. Help me to live a clean life. I need the eternal and everlasting life. Change my life Lord. Help me not go back to my past life. Guide me. In Jesus name, Amen."

If you have a prayer request, please contact us. We are here to pray for you. You can also write to us directly at admin@believehim.org. May God Bless you.
