The Bible says, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” – 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NIV
Dear Friend,
Is Killing yourself a sin? There are two sets of people who ask this question. The first category is more curious and wants to be aware it is right or wrong for someone to kill themselves. The second category consists of those going through many difficulties and have no interest in continuing their life.
The first category searches just for awareness and knowledge. The second category needs real help and is looking for answers from God.
We are writing this message with the prayer that our Lord Jesus will speak to you as you read. May He show you how much He loves you. Jesus wants you to choose life and not death.
No problem is so difficult that our Lord cannot solve it, no sickness is so bad that He cannot heal, and no debt is so deep that Jesus cannot lift you out of it.
Jesus Christ is the hope of this world. He died on the cross to carry all our punishment and shame. He can fill our hearts with His heavenly peace and joy right now.
Wherever you are right now, Jesus is with you. He wants to speak to you and comfort you. He is your heavenly father who cares for you more than anyone else. Jesus can show you a way to come out of your problems. You don’t have to kill yourself.
If you are going through suicidal thoughts, please refer to your country’s government and NGO crisis lines. These crisis lines are not associated with BelieveHim.org.

Who gave us the Breath of life?
Before we discuss trying to end life, let’s understand who gave us this life. The Bible says, “Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.”
A man’s life is in his breath. If his breathing stops, his life ends. The breath of life came from God himself. We inherited our breath from our parents, our parents from their parents, and so on. But we received the original breath from God himself.
God created life in us. He has a greater purpose for each of us beyond this earth. Our journey on earth stops when we stop breathing. But it continues on in heaven or hell for eternity. A soul created on earth can never cease to exist. The journey of the soul continues beyond the earth forever and ever.
Though a man can try to stop his breath on earth, he has no control over the eternal journey. Everyone who reads this should take notice of this. We can not stop our souls from existing. We can only temporarily stop our life on earth by going against the plan our God has laid for us.
Is it right to kill yourself?
We are pondering over the question, “Is it right to kill yourself?” We all go through challenges in life. We receive many emails as part of the Believe Him ministries about the issues of depression, debt, sickness, disappointments, anxieties, obsessions, and so on.
There is someone who chooses to end his or her life every forty seconds, and they succeed. There are multiple more who attempt to end their life, but they fail, and there are others who have lived with suicidal thoughts for many years.
We once came across a man who attempted seven times to end his life but failed. He was in a wheelchair and lost his ability to move because of failed attempts.
The God who created us never left us orphans. The Bible says, “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”
Our God’s love and compassion will never leave us. Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest“
Dear friend, are you going through a restless situation? We want to pray with you at the end of this message.
Jesus wants to fill your heart with heavenly peace and joy. He wants to change your life. There is nothing impossible for him. You don’t have to kill yourself. Jesus said, “I died, but look-I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.”
Jesus came to this world and died on the cross for our mistakes. He now holds the key to death and the grave. Let’s surrender our life to Him and ask Him to lead us.
We do not have the right to stop the breath God has given us. He alone has the right to stop it and take us to Heaven so that we can rejoice with him forever and ever. Let’s surrender our lives to Jesus.
Jesus wants to give you life.
Someone may say my life is messed up. I have so much debt that I cannot come out of it. I am divorced. I am an addict. I have a terminal sickness. I am suffering in pain. My boy/girlfriend dumped me. I have a dark past life, which I cannot give up. You might be carrying tons of problems right now.
Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Satan comes to take away our peace and destroy our happiness. But Jesus came to give us life in abundance.
Many say that God does not care about them anymore. He stopped listening to them. He does not talk to them. Hence, they justify the right to end their life. Is this the right conclusion? Is it right to say that my life is messed up because of God and just because he did not give me enough care?
God cares for our success. He wants us to be successful. He is not the cause of the issue, but he is willing to take up the responsibility of cleaning it up. Dear friend, are you willing to trust God? He wants to mend all the broken pieces of your life today.
You do not have to carry all the burdens of life.
Jesus knew our life on earth will not be easy. He carried all our burdens on the cross. We do not have to carry the same burdens that Jesus already carried for us on the cross.
Independent of your status in life, God loves you. We might think everything is over, it is impossible to change my life, and I have no future. But God might see a new beginning in you. He can make the impossible possible.
Have you tried everything in life and are tired of trying? Give your life to God. Let Him start where you stopped; when God is with you, who can be against you?
We have a testimony link below. Please go through it. These are real testimonies, just like us. God has done great things in their life. He will do the same in your life, too.
Do you want to invite Jesus into your life today? He came to earth to heal, save, forgive, and wipe the tears of men. Just because he came as a man does not make him a man. He is God who became man for the sake of men. Jesus revealed the true nature of God. He forgave and forgot the sins of every sinner. Let’s go to His presence and pray to Jesus.
Please place your hand on your heart and call out the name of Jesus. Pray the below prayer in your own words. We are praying along with you. Jesus is listening to your prayers.
Dear Jesus, I come to you with a humble heart. You have given me the breath of life, and I don’t have the right to stop it. You are the author of my life, and you have the power to lead me to heaven so that I can see you face to face all through eternity. Please come into my life.
You know about all the problems I am going through. Please lift me up. Please help me to hold on to you. Jesus, you have the solution for all my life challenges. Please forgive me. I have made choices without consulting you. I have selfish decisions. Please wash me with your precious blood.
Thank you for dying for me on the cross. I believe in you. I want to follow you with all my heart. I believe in you. I put all my faith in you. In Jesus’s mighty name, I pray. Amen.
Dear friend, please throw away your thought about ending your life. You have a great future ahead. Your heavenly father loves you. He wants to lead you. Please give control of your life and see what Jesus can do for you. God says in the Bible, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” God has a plan for you. Tailored and made just for you. You are very special to Him.
