There is no place so deep that God's love is not deeper still.
- Betsie Ten Boom ( Holocaust Survivor)
Corrie and her sister Betsie protected many Jews in their house in the Netherlands during second world war. They were caught one day in 1944 and arrested by the Nazi army. She and her sister Betsie suffered much in prison. While Betsie died in the prison, Corrie was freed from prison due to a clerical error. Before Betsie died she told Corrie, "There is no place so deep that God's love is not deeper still." Corrie, after released from the prison, started a rehabilitation center for the people who were tortured in Nazi prisons. Betsie and Corrie found God in the midst of their suffering in Nazi camp. They found the depth of God's love.
Does God care when I suffer from sickness? Why doesn't he respond to my prayers when I am lost in life? Where is he when I need him most? Oh the quietness of God kills me. Can anyone help me? Many of us ask this question when things go sour in our life. Dear Friend, Are you one of them?
We all go through ups and downs in life. I was diagnosed with a rare brain condition a few months back. When Doctors said not much research was done on the source and the cure of the disease, I knew what I need to go through. I was put on a high dosage of steroids to reduce inflammation in the brain. My immune system was suppressed. Suffered from Insomnia and got very little sleep. Whenever my steroid dosage was adjusted I went through severe withdrawal syndrome.
God was with me all through. He picked me up and guided me in low times. He was with me in suffering right along. My condition slowly improved over several months. My great times in life are to praise my God. Through my low times, God taught me new lessons for life. Are you going through one of the lean patches in life?
Dear Friend, Bible says, Cast your burden on the Lord and He will sustain and uphold you; You might be going through unbearable painful conditions in your life. But God is willing to share your burden. He is waiting to console you and restore your life. Would you be willing to surrender your life to Jesus? God who created you is faithful.
God himself sent His own son Jesus so that he can suffer and die on the cross to forgive our sins. We do not have God who has not gone through any pain. Instead we have a God who has through all the pain on the cross for you and for me. He was born in a poor family. He knows exactly what it means to go through suffering and shame. God knows what you are going through in your life. You might be going through abuse, bullying, failures, sickness, sucidal thoughts or anything else. God loves you in spite of where you are right now. You might think your life has reached a dark place and almost over. God can bring light into your life and transform it completely. Are you willing to surrender your life to Jesus?
