How to move forward in life during difficult times of our life?

Dear friend, wherever you are today, Jesus loves you. He is with you right now. He cares about your future. He wants to lead your life and bring you out of all your difficult past. We all go through difficult times in our life. We wish the difficult times never come to us. But if we do end up in such a situation then how to move forward in life during difficult times of our life? We are going to meditate upon it today. May Jesus speak to your hearts as you read. He alone can touch your life and change your situation.

What if we have to travel through an unknown path we have been never before? Assume there are no proper roads, GPS, or directions. And worse, we have lost the destination address or street lights. Do you think we could reach the destination when we do not know where it is? It looks impossible situation.

Approximately 4000 years ago, around 600,000 men and their families started their journey without knowing where they are going. There were no roads. They had to walk in the desert in the scorching sun. There was no GPS, no street lights, and directions. They walked for 40 years. Surprisingly, their sandals did not wear out. Probably you would have guessed by now about whom I am writing about. It was the Israelites who traveled from Egypt toward the promised land God had destined for them.

Against all odds, they reached the promised land. The scorching sun of the desert was supposed to kill them. They were supposed to die of hunger and thirst. The nomadic tribes were supposed to loot all their possessions. But God covered them with the pillar of cloud during the day to protect them from the scorching sunlight. At the night there was a pillar of fire that kept the temperature normal in the wild desert. The Bible says, “Yet the LORD says, “The LORD went ahead of them. He guided them during the day with a pillar of cloud, and he provided light at night with a pillar of fire. This allowed them to travel by day or by night.

God also provided them with food every morning. The food for each family was given only for that day. No one went hungry. Everyone got enough food for their family. The Bible says, “The Lord said to Moses, “I’m going to send you food from heaven like rain. Each day the people should go out and gather only what they need for that day.” The fresh food was delivered the next day again, just enough for that day.

Though it was dark, they were never without the light. Though there were no roads and directions, the 600,000 men and their families never missed a single turn. Because God himself was with them.

This is just not a historical incident in the Bible. Please do not think it happened long before and it will never happen again. There is something for every one of us. This is supposed to happen in every one of our life. It happened in the past to those who believed in God. It will happen in the 21st century to those who believe in God. God has not changed. He will give us hope for the future and lead us.

When we wander through the darkest and most hopeless times of our life, the same God who led the Israelites will also lead us. He will give us a promise. We may only see the darkness. But He will bring us light. We may not have a direction on how to move forward. But He will ask us to focus on Him. God himself will lead us toward our promised land.

Dear friend, are you going through difficult times right now? Do you think you are passing through a valley of darkness? Please do not look back. Look forward and lift your eyes upwards towards God. Fix your eyes on Him. He knows how to lead you. You will not be harmed. Do not fear. Let your heart not be troubled. The God who called you will lead your life.

The Bible says, “who (The Lord) forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Let’s go to the presence of Jesus. Ask Him to lead us through the ups and downs of our life. Please place your hand on your heart and pray the below prayer with the belief that Jesus will lead you throughout your life. Let your life move forward with your eyes focusing upwards on the name of Jesus.

Dear Jesus, I come to you once again with a humble heart. I am so happy that you are holding my hands right now. I do not know how I will go through the challenges in my life. But I am putting my hope on you. You are the light of this world. You are the answer to the prayers. Jesus, you can see what I can not see. Forgive all my past mistakes. Wash me with the precious blood you have shed for me on the cross. Feed me with your word. Strengthen me and help me to flee from my complicated past. Give me a fresh heart. A heart that loves you deeply and follows you always. I believe in you. I put all my trust in you. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Dear Friend, wherever you are, you are not alone. You don’t have to feel anxious and hopeless. God can work out your life independently of the situation you are in. Do not worry. Put your hope in Him. Believe Him. We are praying for you.
